The campaign "Who is your candidate?" Intends to raise this question to the main European political groups, to encourage them to nominate a candidate capable of carrying out the program advocated in their campaigns and, therefore, give him a voice to citizens who, by vote, decided to adhere to their ideas and want to be represented. So far, the campaign has been the question "Who is your candidate? the Socialists (PES) in Madrid, the Greens in Brussels and, more recently, the Liberals (ELDR), on 15 April. The answer, unsurprisingly, has not given names, but has raised consciousness and received a very positive reception, the main leaders and many members of Parliament have recognized the need to seriously consider this issue. It is not a request from the young federalists nor a utopian idea, but a demand shared by many who want to see how it fits in the EU a truly democratic government, and gives voice to European citizenship.
The reason that inspired the campaign is in search of a more democratic and transparent Commission, firstly because it is most desirable for the Europe we want to build (since, by and for all citizens). And second, because without a proposed candidate to be president of the Union's executive body, our vote loses strength.
